In my dealings with clients, I adhere to the principle of integrity. When addressing inquiries from non-litigation clients, I typically conduct a case‑by‑case analysis, clearly explaining the relevant legal provisions and the potential legal consequences of various courses of action, without concealment or exaggeration. For litigation clients, I assess the evidence they have presented, elucidate the applicable laws and regulations, and outline the possible scenarios that may arise in court. Ultimately, the decision to proceed with litigation rests entirely with the client; I never make promises of a favorable outcome or withhold information about the risk of an adverse judgment simply to secure a retainer.

My personality is well-suited to litigation. I enjoy critical thinking and using my own strategic approach to persuade judges and leave the opposing side speechless. Of course, whether I succeed ultimately depends on the strength of the evidence—sometimes even the most skilled lawyer can’t make a case out of thin air.


 

In my view, an outstanding litigation lawyer should be professional, astute, diligent, and wise. Professionalism demands that he has devoted years to the field, amassing substantial experience; astuteness requires him to identify the decisive winning angle in every case; diligence calls for thoroughness and meticulousness in preparing evidence and analyzing the facts; and wisdom means that he can discern the essence behind the surface of the entire case, leverage his logical reasoning to influence both the judge and the opposing counsel, and steer the pace of the trial with well‑crafted litigation strategies—ultimately securing the outcome he seeks.

Becoming a professional lawyer—whether in terms of study, the development of specialized skills, or the cultivation and accumulation of practice—is a journey that can never be undertaken too thoroughly. That’s why I don’t think it’s necessary to dwell excessively on the transitional phase. Many accomplished lawyers who have been practicing for years remain diligent and committed; even after decades in the profession, they are still regarded by others as fully seasoned experts, yet they never stop striving to refine their craft further.
