JC Master Updates | The School of Foreign Languages at Nanjing University and JC Master Law Office Jointly Establish an Internship Base for Cultivating Talents in Foreign-related Rule of Law.

To deepen cooperation in cultivating legal professionals with international expertise and to promote the integrated development of law and foreign language disciplines, on the afternoon of March 21, a delegation from Nanjing University’s School of Foreign Languages—including Party Secretary Chen Jing, Deputy Party Secretary Kong Jianfeng, Head of the German Department Professor Chen Min, German Department faculty member Chang Xuan, and student representatives from the School and the German-language Law Experimental Class—visited JC Master. They held a special symposium on the training of international legal talent and participated in the unveiling ceremony for the “Nanjing University School of Foreign Languages Internship Base.” Also in attendance were JC Master Director Xu Guojin, Executive Committee Chair Zhu Li, Partners Wang Jian, Hu Aopeng, and Xu Tao, as well as Xu Min, Dean of Cewen Academy.
 

Prior to the start of the symposium, the delegation from Nanjing University’s School of Foreign Languages, warmly accompanied by JC Master partners, toured the office’s office spaces, its Party‑building activity room, and the JC Master Gallery. The design concept that seamlessly integrates law with art and law with technology left a particularly lasting impression on the visiting faculty and students, who expressed high praise for JC Master’s overall environment and its cultural development. Following the tour, the group convened in JC Master’s conference room for a roundtable discussion, which was chaired by Xu Min, Dean of Cewen College.

Chen Jing, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Foreign Languages at Nanjing University, first expressed her gratitude for JC Master’s warm hospitality, then outlined the school’s development trajectory, including its talent‑training initiatives and student employment outcomes. She emphasized that the interdisciplinary integration of foreign languages and law serves as a crucial lever for advancing national strategic priorities.

Next, Kong Jianfeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, took the floor and emphasized that in recent years, the college has continuously refined its “Foreign Language + Law” curriculum. This joint establishment of an internship base with JC Master will provide students with authentic, real-world scenarios for international legal practice, thereby fostering deep integration among industry, academia, and research. Finally, Professor Chen Min, Head of the Department of German, stated in his remarks that he hopes to further strengthen cooperation with JC Master, explore additional avenues for collaboration, and work together to cultivate a new generation of outstanding professionals in the field of foreign-language‑based legal studies.

In the presence of all attendees, Deputy Secretary Kong Jianfeng of Nanjing University’s School of Foreign Languages and Director Xu Guojin of JC Master jointly unveiled the plaque designating “Nanjing University School of Foreign Languages Internship Base.” Secretary Chen Jing presented appointment letters as off-campus mentors to four partners at JC Master. This initiative signifies that JC Master will provide internship opportunities for students from the School of Foreign Languages, with JC Master lawyers serving as mentors to guide students in practical work, ensuring they gain hands-on experience and knowledge.

The establishment of this internship base represents an important step for JC Master in fulfilling its industry responsibilities and deepening its commitment to the principles of “professionalism, internationalization, and innovation.” Through this collaborative platform, JC Master aims to provide law students with hands-on learning opportunities, enhancing their understanding of the law and their practical skills. Moving forward, JC Master will continue to expand its collaborative innovation with universities, channeling foreign-related legal resources into the education sector, cultivating legal professionals with both global perspectives and specialized expertise, and contributing to the building of a society governed by the rule of law.
