JC Master Public Welfare | Attorney Zhang Xinran, a partner at JC Master (Suzhou), Successfully Hosted a Public Lecture on Family Trusts

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of JC Master Law Office, JC Master (Suzhou) took its pairing‑and‑joint‑construction initiative with the China Zhi Gong Party as an opportunity to co‑host a public‑interest legal education lecture titled “Family (Household) Trusts: Clarifying the Law Through Case Studies,” in collaboration with the Xiangcheng First Branch, the Jinchang First Branch, and the Industrial Park Fourth Branch of the China Zhi Gong Party. The lecture was delivered by Attorney Zhang Xinran.

As a member of the China Zhi Gong Party and a member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Attorney Zhang Xinran has fully leveraged her role as a bridge and liaison, collaborating with three party branches to establish a “Law + Democratic Parties” platform. The lecture took the recently high-profile “Wahaha Family Trust” case as its starting point, and, drawing on the Civil Code, the Trust Law, and relevant judicial precedents, it provided a clear yet thorough analysis of the family trust’s irreplaceable legal functions in stabilizing corporate equity structures, isolating property risks, and ensuring orderly succession, while also illuminating the underlying legal wisdom embedded in family wealth management and governance.
 

The on-site interactive session was highly engaging, with attendees eagerly posing questions on topics such as inheritance, wills, insurance, trusts, corporate equity succession, and wealth‑building support for children along with educational planning. Drawing on her extensive practical experience, Attorney Zhang Xinran provided professional, well‑grounded answers, translating complex legal provisions into clear, everyday language. Participants gained a profound appreciation for the legal acumen embedded in modern family and clan governance, as well as in wealth‑succession planning.
