JC Master Updates | Attorney He Ying of our office was invited to attend the Second Women’s Congress of the Nanjing Lawyers’ Industry.

On March 2, 2025, the Second Congress of Women in the Nanjing Lawyers’ Industry was successfully held in the Nanjing Lawyers Association’s auditorium. Attending the meeting were Wang Qing, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Municipal Justice Bureau, as well as Secretary of the Party Committee of the Municipal Lawyers’ Industry; Hou Junhua, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairwoman of the Municipal Women’s Federation; Liu Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Municipal Lawyers’ Industry and President of the Nanjing Lawyers Association; Xi Chao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Municipal Lawyers’ Industry and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Nanjing Lawyers Association; Liu Yongqiang, Director of the Lawyers’ Work Division of the Municipal Justice Bureau and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Municipal Lawyers’ Industry; Chen Yang, Chairwoman of the First Executive Committee of the Women’s Federation of the Municipal Lawyers’ Industry; Deng Bin, Deputy Director of the Rights and Interests Department of the Municipal Women’s Federation; all members of the Party Committee of the Municipal Lawyers’ Industry; and 65 women representatives from across the city’s legal profession. The meeting was chaired by Wei Chunchun, Full-time Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Municipal Lawyers’ Industry and Secretary-General of the Nanjing Lawyers Association. Attorney He Ying of JC Master Law Office was invited to attend this event as a representative.

At this conference, the Women’s Federation of the Nanjing legal profession focused squarely on four key themes: enhancing the sense of mission in the Federation’s work, strengthening the organization’s internal capacity, building a distinctive brand for the women lawyers’ Federation, and establishing a high‑quality platform to support their professional practice. The Federation has acted proactively, fulfilled its duties conscientiously, shouldered heavy responsibilities, and striven to make itself a warm, trusted home for all female lawyers. Over the past five years, as the number of lawyers in our city has grown, the ranks of female lawyers have continued to expand. By the end of 2024, there were 5,555 female lawyers in the city, accounting for 44 percent of the total. Among them, 1,957 are members of the Communist Party of China, and 1,406 hold postgraduate degrees or higher. It can be said that female lawyers in Nanjing generally possess strong political awareness and professional competence, with mid‑career and young lawyers forming the backbone of the profession. The steady rise of women’s influence within the legal sector is the result of concerted efforts by the profession and society at large. Having successfully achieved the goals set five years ago, we now stand at a new starting point, working together to build an even brighter future.
 

Over the past five years, under the leadership of the Party Committee of the city’s legal profession, female lawyers have deeply embraced Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, thereby playing a pivotal role as “half the sky.” As one of the delegates to this conference, Attorney He Ying will, in her future work, place even greater emphasis on safeguarding women’s rights and interests, remain true to her original aspiration, keep her mission officely in mind, and, in collaboration with JC Master Law Office, strive tirelessly to advance the high-quality development of the city’s legal profession.
