Party Building in JC Master | The JC Master Party Branch convened a general meeting of all party members to centrally study and implement the important speeches and directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping on thoroughly upholding the spirit of the CPC Central Committee’s Eight-Point Decision.

On May 27, 2025, the Party Branch of JC Master Law Office convened a general meeting of its members to carry out in-depth study and education on implementing the spirit of the CPC Central Committee’s Eight-Point Decision on Improving Party and Government Conduct. The meeting was chaired by Zhu Li, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch, with Qian Peng, a member of the Nanjing Municipal Lawyers’ Industry Party Committee and Vice President of the Nanjing Lawyers Association, attending as an observer to provide guidance.

The conference began with Xu Guojin, the branch secretary, reading out the “Work Plan for In-depth Study and Education on Implementing the Spirit of the CPC Central Committee’s Eight‑Point Decision” of the Party Branch of Jiangsu JC Master Law Office. Secretary Xu emphasized that the key is to uphold the “five emphases” and ensure “five areas of thorough implementation,” extending the study and education to all party members. First, emphasize internalizing the principles and ensuring they resonate deeply, with learning and discussion carried out effectively; second, focus on in‑depth investigation and meticulous scrutiny, ensuring that problems are identified and addressed thoroughly; third, adhere to strictness and pragmatism, guaranteeing that targeted rectification measures are fully implemented; fourth, prioritize tangible results and visible outcomes, ensuring that education is conducted in an open and transparent manner; and fifth, emphasize institutionalization and sustained effectiveness, ensuring that lessons are systematically reviewed and summarized.
Secretary Xu led all Party members in studying General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on the spirit of the CPC Central Committee’s Eight‑Point Decision. The spirit of the Eight‑Point Decision represents an extension and elevation of the decision’s underlying principles, constituting a more universal and guiding set of requirements for improving Party conduct. It is no longer confined to the Politburo level but applies to all Party members and cadres. The spirit of the Eight‑Point Decision has now become routine, institutionalized, and standardized. Through this study, Party members have gained a deeper, more systematic understanding of the General Secretary’s remarks, further clarifying the vital importance and far‑reaching significance of the spirit of the Eight‑Point Decision for the development of the Party and the country.

Subsequently, Gong Yuan, the publicity officer, led a study session on important expositions regarding the strengthening of the Party’s work style. Work style construction is vital to the Party’s image and to the people’s trust in the Party. We must steadfastly uphold zero tolerance, treat the CPC Central Committee’s Eight-Point Decision on Improving Party and Government Conduct as an iron rule and an inviolable standard, rigorously investigate and address violations of discipline that defy prohibitions and “four undesirable work styles” that have evolved in subtle or disguised forms, and urge Party members and cadres to resolutely oppose notions of privilege and manifestations of privilege, officely establishing a correct view of power, performance, and career.
The Party members in attendance unanimously expressed that this study session was highly beneficial. As Party-member lawyers, they pledged to strive for excellence in their professional practice while setting an exemplary standard in upholding the Party’s conduct and work style. Moving forward, they will strictly adhere to the spirit of the CPC Central Committee’s Eight‑Point Decision on Improving Party and Government Conduct, resolutely prevent any violations, safeguard the positive image of Party members, and contribute their efforts to the sound development of the law office.

Vice President Qian Peng stated:

First, Party-member lawyers must perform their duties diligently and ensure the effective implementation of the work plan.

Second, in the face of pressures from both within and outside the industry, lawyer Party members should place great emphasis on managing professional risks.

Third, by thoroughly studying the Central Committee’s Eight-Point Decision on Improving Party and Government Conduct, we should properly manage our relationships with the legal profession.

Fourth, lawyer Party members should strike a balance between their contributions to the legal profession and their own professional development.

Fifth, since its founding forty years ago, JC Master has set a benchmark for brand reputation and client satisfaction within the industry, serving as a model for leading domestic law offices and contributing to the high-quality development of the legal profession in Jiangsu Province.
Through this study session, all lawyers have come to a profound understanding of the significant importance and rich implications of “Thoroughly Implementing the Spirit of the CPC Central Committee’s Eight‑Point Decision on Improving Party and Government Conduct.” Since the launch of the education campaign, the JC Master Party Branch has meticulously planned and organized activities, formulating a detailed work plan to comprehensively implement the directives issued by the higher‑level industry Party committee on conducting disciplinary education. The branch has advanced all aspects of the educational program with high quality and stringent standards. All party members have pledged to earnestly uphold the spirit of the CPC Central Committee’s Eight‑Point Decision, continuously strengthen the Party’s conduct, and strictly regulate their own behavior, thereby putting the Party’s fundamental purpose into practice and contributing to the development of the rule of law and the legal profession.
