Choosing the legal profession means embarking on a path of continuous self-improvement, one that knows no end. The glamorous image portrayed in films and TV shows falls far short of the reality of this career. In day-to-day work, you are more likely to encounter densely packed contractual clauses, towering stacks of case files, and meticulously refined legal documents. Someone once asked me whether I was prepared to endure hardship; at the time, though I harbored aspirations, I only had a vague understanding of what “hardship” entailed. It was only after experiencing it firsthand that I came to realize: this “hardship” is the painstaking, line-by-line rigor of reviewing contracts, the patient, meticulous effort of sifting through evidence, and the steadfast dedication to respond promptly and fulfill one’s responsibilities when faced with unexpected cases.
