To further advance legal education among young people and enhance primary school students’ legal awareness and self‑protection skills, JC Master (Nantong) Law Office participated in a public‑legal‑education campaign titled “Enlightening Youth with the Civil Code, Safeguarding Their Growth,” bringing the Civil Code into schools. The event was organized and planned by Rudong Customs, with professional legal support provided by JC Master (Nantong), and jointly brought to Yangkou Port Experimental Primary School to help ensure the healthy development of young people.
This event was led by Attorney Ji Jie, Executive Director of JC Master (Nantong). Starting with the question “What is law?,” Attorney Ji used clear, accessible language to introduce students to the four key characteristics of law, before turning to the Civil Code of the People’s Republic of China—often referred to as an “encyclopedia of social life.” Through a vivid age‑based framework, she helped students grasp the differences in civil capacity across various age groups, and, by weaving together a series of case studies, enabled young people to see more concretely how the Civil Code safeguards everyday life.
Following the legal education lecture, Director Yuan Dongdong of Rudong Customs carefully crafted a series of practical legal questions closely tied to primary school students’ everyday lives, encouraging them to think critically and participate enthusiastically. Director Yuan provided thoughtful feedback and encouragement for each response, and presented small educational gifts to the participants. Through this interactive Q&A format, the children reinforced their legal knowledge, experienced the power of the rule of law, and enjoyed a lively atmosphere, achieving excellent results in promoting legal awareness.
This “Civil Code Enters the Campus” initiative represents a vivid and practical effort to advance legal education among young people. Moving forward, our office will continue to collaborate with a broader array of professional stakeholders to organize diverse legal‑awareness activities for youth, ensuring that the spirit of the rule of law takes root in schools and resonates deeply with students. By harnessing the power of law, we will safeguard the healthy development of young people and lay a solid legal foundation for fostering a safe, harmonious, and civilized campus environment.
