JC Master Party Building | A delegation from the JC Master Party Branch traveled to Weiheng (Nanjing) to attend a thematic exchange meeting on “Party Building and Development in Law Offices.”

On the afternoon of September 6, 2024, Weiheng (Nanjing) Law Office, Zhibang Law Office, and JC Master Law Office convened a tripartite exchange meeting on Party building and office development, focusing on the theme of “Party Building and Development in Law Offices.” The participants discussed prospects for collaborative Party-building initiatives and the future trajectory of law office growth, further advancing horizontal exchanges within the legal profession. Wei Chunchun, Secretary-General of the Nanjing Lawyers Association, attended the event to provide guidance, while party-member lawyers from all three offices took part in the meeting.

Luan Yungeng, Director of Weiheng (Nanjing), delivered a welcoming address, extending a warm welcome to all attendees. He expressed his hope that this exchange would foster mutual learning and cross‑inspiration, thereby advancing Party building efforts across the board and laying a solid foundation for collaborative progress among the various institutions.

Director and Party Branch Secretary of Zhibang Law Office, Attorney Zhu Wangxiang, shared his insights and experiences on the question of “how law offices can develop their Party-building work,” delving into the relationship between Party building and the office’s overall development. Zhibang has established Party organizations within its departments, leveraging their oversight functions and, through integrated development and coordinated resource allocation, guiding and safeguarding the office’s growth.

Lawyer Xu Guojin, Director of JC Master and Secretary of its Party Branch, provided a comprehensive overview of the office’s overall development, covering its historical evolution, operational model, and scale. He noted that JC Master is distinguished by its high proportion of Party members. The office has advanced its Party-building efforts through joint branch initiatives with clients, universities, and peer offices, while also integrating these efforts with public‑service activities. JC Master actively participates in charitable endeavors, organizes legal‑education programs for young people and community outreach campaigns, and boasts a strong level of participation among its Party‑member lawyers.

Director Yan Rui, Secretary of the Party Branch of Weiheng (Nanjing), stated that the Party Branch of Weiheng’s Nanjing office has consistently upheld the development philosophy of “using Party building to strengthen the institution, and institutional development to drive progress.” Members of the Party Branch have also remained deeply committed to public welfare, actively conducted field visits and research, and regularly participated in community‑ and rural‑based public‑interest initiatives.

During the symposium, participating Party members spoke freely and shared their perspectives, exchanging new experiences and achievements in Party building. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on strengthening collaborative Party-building efforts, cultivating young lawyers, advancing law office development, diversifying the formats of Party‑building activities, and leveraging the unique strengths of the legal profession to deepen exchanges in Party work.

Finally, Wei Chunchun, Secretary-General of the Nanjing Lawyers Association, delivered a concluding address, highly commending the event and offering guidance on the direction of future work. He encouraged young lawyers to continuously build practical experience, broaden their international perspectives, and, in the face of the vast untapped market for legal services in emerging industries, to proactively develop strategic plans and seize the opportunities of the times. He also urged young lawyers to leverage the Nanjing platform, learn from their peers, and make the most of their formative years. Secretary-General Wei emphasized that law offices across Nanjing are collaborating, sharing resources, and fostering connections to expand their service horizons, thereby empowering young lawyers to thrive, set sail with determination, and take the lead in shaping the future.
