To thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Central Conference on Work Related to Party‑led Mass Organizations, and to fulfill the requirement of achieving full coverage in the organizational development of Women’s Federations within social organizations, the county’s Lawyers’ Industry Women’s Federation was established, and its first Women’s Congress was held on November 2. Chen Ying, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the County Justice Bureau, and Yu Linlin, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairwoman of the County Women’s Federation, attended the meeting. Representatives including Li Yan, Ge Rongrong, Zhang Yuting, Zhu Xinya, and Gu Yuyan from JC Master (Nantong) also participated in the event.
At the outset of the meeting, Chen Ying, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the County Justice Bureau, delivered an enthusiastic address. He extended warm congratulations on the establishment of the Women’s Federation within the county’s legal profession, underscored the vital role of such organizations in the legal sector, and expressed his hope that the newly formed federation would effectively serve as a bridge and link, uniting and guiding female lawyers across the county to actively engage in the building of a law-based society and contribute to upholding social fairness and justice. Following this, Yu Linlin, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairwoman of the County Women’s Federation, also addressed the gathering. She articulated her expectations and requirements for the future work of the Women’s Federation in the legal profession, encouraging female lawyers to assume responsibility with courage, take proactive action, and showcase the distinctive spirit of women lawyers in the new era.
Following the meeting, the industry’s Women’s Federation held its inaugural event, during which social workers from the Chongchuan Aide Social Organization guided participants in a hands-on experience of intangible cultural heritage—creating their own auspicious blue-printed cloth pendants.
At the event, social workers first introduced the historical origins, cultural significance, and traditional craftsmanship of blue-printed cloth, deepening participants’ understanding of this time-honored art form. Following that, under the patient guidance of the social workers, the female lawyers in attendance picked up their materials and began crafting their own auspicious blue-printed‑cloth pendants. Focused and engaged, they exchanged ideas and insights from time to time, creating a warm and lively atmosphere. Through this activity, the female lawyers not only relaxed body and mind but also experienced the unique charm of intangible cultural heritage.
The establishment of the Women’s Federation of the legal profession in Rudong County has injected a resilient and unwavering “she”‑power into the building of a law-based Rudong.
This marks an important milestone for women’s work within the county’s legal profession. It not only provides a platform for female lawyers to exchange ideas and grow, but also rekindles their enthusiasm and vitality in dedicating themselves to the cause of the rule of law. The newly established Women’s Federation will leverage its organizational strengths to regularly organize a variety of activities—such as legal‑knowledge lectures and case‑study seminars—to enhance the professional competence and practical skills of female lawyers. At the same time, the Federation will pay close attention to their physical and mental well‑being and personal development, offering them the support and assistance they need. We are confident that, in the days ahead, the Women’s Federation of the Rudong County legal profession will lead all female lawyers in the county to forge ahead on the path of building a society under the rule of law, contributing greater wisdom and strength to upholding social fairness and justice and promoting social harmony and stability.
