JC Master Updates | Lawyers Wang Xiao and Gao Jingyu of our office participated in the mock trial competition of the Second Jinling Lawyers’ Professional Skills Contest hosted by the Nanjing Lawyers Association and advanced to the final round.

On August 9, 2025, the second Jinling Lawyers’ Professional Skills Competition, organized by the Nanjing Lawyers Association, officially kicked off. The competition featured two main events—legal document drafting (civil and commercial; criminal) and mock courtroom advocacy (civil and criminal)—attracting nearly 200 outstanding lawyers from the Nanjing Lawyers Association and the broader metropolitan area. Attorneys Wang Xiao and Gao Jingyu of JC Master Law Office distinguished themselves through their solid legal expertise and exceptional on‑stage performance in a fiercely contested field, ultimately advancing to the finals.
 

This civil trial competition brought together 32 teams, including several well-known law offices in Nanjing, as well as active participation from bar associations within the Nanjing metropolitan area, such as the Yangzhou Bar Association and the Ma’anshan Bar Association.
 
 

The mock trial competition is divided into three stages: the preliminary round, the semi-final round, and the final. Based on the draw, participating lawyers are assigned to either the plaintiff or defendant side and engage in intense adversarial proceedings centered on cases provided by the organizing committee. The preliminary round was fiercely competitive, with only 8 teams advancing out of 32; JC Master successfully navigated this stage and stood out from the field.

In the semi-finals, attorneys Wang Xiao and Gao Jingyu, representing JC Master as defense counsel, confronted the plaintiff’s claims and incisive line of questioning by clearly articulating their position and precisely citing relevant legal provisions. Backed by meticulous document preparation and a composed courtroom strategy, they ultimately secured their place in the finals.
