JC Master Updates | The “Lüyang Elite” Training Program for International Legal Professionals Holds a Knowledge-and-Practice Session in JC Master

On the afternoon of July 11, the “Lüyang Elite” training program for international legal professionals—specifically its “Knowledge and Practice” session—was successfully held at our office. Liu Jing, Deputy Director of the Judicial Bureau of Hanjiang District, Yangzhou, and Zhang Yan, Deputy Director of the Judicial Bureau of Guangling District, attended the event. Jiang Min, Vice President of the Yangzhou Lawyers Association, led more than 20 participants. Professor Chen Min, Head of the Department of German at Nanjing University, along with student representatives from the German-language law experimental class, also took part. Ma Qun, Chief Partner of JC Master, and Xu Guojin, Managing Director of the office, delivered thematic presentations. In addition, Zhu Li, Chair of the JC Master Executive Committee, and Xu Min, Dean of Cewen Academy, extended a warm welcome to all attendees.
Accompanied by the warm hospitality of JC Master’s partners, the delegation from the Zhi-Xing Lecture Series toured the office’s office spaces, its Party‑building activity room, and the JC Master Gallery. The design philosophy that seamlessly integrates law with art and law with technology left a lasting impression on the visiting faculty and students, who expressed high praise for JC Master’s overall environment and its cultural development. Following the tour, the visitors participated in a training session held in JC Master’s conference room.
At the training session, Vice President Jiang Min expressed her gratitude for JC Master’s warm hospitality and noted that, as China’s Belt and Road Initiative continues to advance, the demand for international legal services has reached a new level. She provided a detailed overview of the program’s founding mission, the composition of its participants, and the implementation of its curriculum, underscoring the critical importance of cross-border legal services in today’s globalized environment. She encouraged the attendees to engage actively with leading international legal professionals, thereby gaining a deeper understanding of the legal needs of businesses operating on the international stage.
Director Tai He Maqun stated that “The Three Worldviews, Four Dimensions, Five Contradictions, and Six Types of Awareness of Young Lawyers” On this theme, drawing on his more than thirty years of experience as a lawyer, Director Ma selflessly shared invaluable insights with the attending attorneys. As the Chief Partner of JC Master Law Office, Director Ma has consistently provided substantial support for the office’s development and the professional growth of its young lawyers, offering both mentorship and hands-on guidance. He has helped them clarify their career paths, cultivate a strong professional ethos, and refine their practice skills, while also broadening their perspectives in every respect.
Director Xu Guojin of JC Master extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation from the ZhiXing Classroom, introducing them to JC Master’s development journey, its scale, organizational structure, as well as its achievements and plans in the realm of internationalization. He particularly underscored JC Master’s deep professional expertise in cross-border legal services and its extensive international network, while emphasizing the office’s longstanding commitment to cultivating talent in the field of international law. Subsequently, Director Xu shared his wealth of practical experience under the theme “The Role of International Lawyers in Enterprises’ Global Expansion.”
Professor Chen Min expressed his delight at participating in this event. Since March, the School of Foreign Languages at Nanjing University and JC Master Law Office have jointly established an internship base for cultivating professionals in foreign-related rule of law, working together to advance the training of such talent. During the summer, nine students from Nanjing University’s German–French Experimental Class joined JC Master’s practice team, gaining hands-on experience in legal service processes. Professor Chen extended his sincere gratitude to JC Master for providing these valuable internship opportunities.
During the interactive session, participants engaged in in-depth discussions with JC Master partners on topics such as corporate needs for cross-border legal services and the selection of international lawyers. They shared their insights and takeaways from the event, as well as their experiences and the challenges they encounter when handling cross-border legal matters in their day-to-day work. The on‑site dialogue was lively, with several highlights throughout.
This session of the “Lüyang Elite” training program for international legal professionals was successfully held at JC Master, further deepening the collaboration between JC Master and the Yangzhou Lawyers Association in the field of cultivating talent in international legal services. The event not only strengthened partnerships among JC Master, the Yangzhou Lawyers Association, and the School of Foreign Languages at Nanjing University, but also laid a solid foundation for even more extensive cooperation in the future. Moving forward, JC Master will remain committed to the principles of openness, cooperation, and mutual benefit, actively engaging in and supporting various initiatives aimed at nurturing international legal professionals, and striving to contribute greater wisdom and strength to advancing China’s international legal sector.
