JC Master Party Building | Carrying Forward Historical Memory and Strengthening the Foundations of the Rule of Law: The JC Master (Suzhou) Party Branch Participates in a Joint Film-Viewing and Collaborative Activity

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Suzhou Independent Branch of the Communist Party of China and the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, the Party Committee of the Suzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce organized a film‑viewing event titled “Drawing Lessons from History, Upholding Our Original Aspirations, and Cherishing the Present,” centered around the movie “Nanjing Photo Studio.” The event was held on the afternoon of August 6, 2025, at the Daguangming Cinema on Guanqian Street in Gusu District. In response to this call, the Party branch of JC Master (Suzhou) Law Office dispatched four members—Dai Yunliang, Xu Junyan, Wu Juan, and Ju Yijing—to participate, engaging in joint construction and interactive exchanges with the Party branch of the Wuxi Chamber of Commerce in Suzhou, thereby drawing on historical wisdom and strengthening their commitment to the rule of law.

The event featured a rich array of activities, seamlessly blending education with practical application. In the first segment, Xue Ruihua, instructor at the Guanqian Street Police Station of the Gusu District Public Security Bureau, delivered a lecture on legal protection for businesses and safety precautions titled “Living Safely with the Law.” Grounded in real-world issues, Instructor Xue used vivid case studies to thoroughly examine common risks: first, safeguarding against telecom fraud and cybercrime—by analyzing frequently occurring cases, he underscored the importance of risk management for both enterprises and individuals in their daily operations; second, preventing disruptive behavior after drinking—reminding Party members to remain vigilant and advocating for civilized social interactions; and third, strengthening crime prevention among minors—calling on all sectors of society to join forces in creating a safe environment for young people’s healthy development. The 30-minute lecture was closely aligned with everyday realities, and attendees remarked after it concluded: “Instructor Xue’s explanation was both insightful and accessible, reminding us lawyers that, in our daily professional work, we should take the lead in upholding the law and protecting business interests, thereby fortifying our security safeguards.”

In the second part of the event, all participants watched the film “The Nanjing Photo Studio” together. Set against the backdrop of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the film recounts the moving story of a small photography studio, revisiting the nation’s hardships and glories in its struggle and profoundly articulating the spirit of “never forgetting history and safeguarding our land and people.” The atmosphere at the venue was solemn and reverent; the scenes of unwavering dedication to one’s original aspirations prompted attendees to reflect anew on the sense of mission inherent in the legal profession—law not only safeguards the present but also draws its strength from the enduring legacy of history.

During this event, the Party branch of JC Master (Suzhou) joined forces with the Party branch of the Wuxi Chamber of Commerce to set a practical example of collaborative party‑building. Through thematic lectures and film screenings, party members not only strengthened their legal awareness of risk prevention but also reafofficeed their commitment to “heed the Party’s words and follow the Party” as they reflected on history. Participants from both party branches actively shared their insights and engaged in lively discussions with chamber members on topics such as using the rule of law to safeguard business and integrating party building with commercial development, fostering a vibrant environment of resource sharing and mutual learning.

The Party Branch of JC Master (Suzhou) Law Office has consistently integrated Party building with its professional work. Through this joint‑construction initiative, all participants unanimously agreed that history is the best teacher and that the law serves as a safeguard for the present. Moving forward, they will uphold their original aspiration of “cherishing the present and forging ahead on a new journey,” serve the broader social good with a spirit of pragmatism, carry forward the red gene, and inject stronger rule-of-law momentum into Suzhou’s high‑quality development.
