Recently, the “Law Nourishes Pharmaceuticals, Empowering New Quality” business exchange conference on legal services for the pharmaceutical industry chain, hosted by the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Law Committee of the All-China Lawyers Association, concluded in Nanjing. The event’s core mission was clearly focused on: exploring models for building a legal service system for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry; formulating and summarizing development strategies to foster the growth of industry‑specific lawyers; providing professional, targeted legal support to drive the sector’s advancement; offering guidance and training to aspiring lawyers entering the pharmaceutical and healthcare fields; and addressing cutting‑edge issues such as technological innovation in the industry, while working together with business leaders and regulatory authorities to further strengthen legislation, judicial practices, and law enforcement.
Song Yayang, head of the Greater Health Legal Services Department at JC Master (Taizhou), attended the “Draft Guidelines Discussion Meeting on Lawyers’ Legal Services in the Biopharmaceutical Industry” and the accompanying roundtable session. Engaging in an in-depth dialogue on “Frontier Issues in Legal Services for the Pharmaceutical Industry,” he shared valuable practical experience gained in Taizhou in implementing the “Industrial Chain + Legal Services” model, offering innovative insights and useful guidance for lawyers’ practice and service delivery.
Attorney Bie Jiajun of JC Master (Taizhou) delivered a keynote address titled “An Analysis of Civil Legal Liability in Disputes over Adverse Events in Clinical Drug Trials and Corresponding Response Strategies.” Drawing on recent judicial precedents, he examined the principles of liability and emerging trends in cases involving torts and contractual disputes arising from adverse events. He focused on key issues such as the legal validity of informed consent forms, the assessment of protocol compliance, and the preservation of evidence, and put forward practical recommendations for establishing mechanisms to manage risk early warning, emergency response, and dispute resolution.
The purpose of this exchange meeting was not only to chart a clear course for legal services in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries but also to serve as a guiding framework for our office’s deep engagement in this field. Moving forward, JC Master will aim to “build a professional service system and empower high‑quality industrial development,” continuously honing its lawyers’ interdisciplinary expertise at the intersection of medicine and law. We will provide enterprises with precise, compliance‑focused support while actively participating in the rule‑of‑law framework of the industry, working hand in hand with government bodies and businesses to ensure that the power of the rule of law truly becomes both a “catalyst” and a “shield” for innovation and sustainable growth in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.

He primarily practices in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry chain, arts law, and capital markets, with extensive professional experience in these fields. He served as the chief editor of “Practical Compliance Management for Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Enterprises,” published by Southeast University Press.

He also participated in the authorship of the book “Compliance Management for Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Enterprises,” published and distributed by Southeast University Press.
Currently serves as the long-term legal counsel to multiple biopharmaceutical companies and has handled numerous civil and commercial litigation matters in the biopharmaceutical sector, possessing extensive practical experience.
