In the third month of spring in Jinling, cherry blossoms bloom like snow, and magnolias begin to unfurl. With the season at its finest, I joined Chief Partner Ma Qun of JC Master, along with Director Li Yuanyang, a lawyer and head of the administrative committee, on a visit to pay our respects to a nonagenarian. This trip was undertaken at the behest of Attorney Xu Jian, Chairman of the China Lawyers Museum, to collect invaluable oral‑history materials for the museum.

My years of study at the Law School of Hunan Normal University marked the beginning of my legal journey. Nestled at the foot of Yuelu Mountain, the campus is steeped in the profound traditions of legal scholarship yet suffused with the free spirit of humanistic thought. The rigorous intellectual debates in class, the quiet contemplation in the library, and the spirited exchanges in the mock courtroom all gradually shaped my understanding of and respect for the law. At the same time, to broaden my future career options, I pursued a minor in chemistry during my undergraduate studies, gaining a systematic grasp of the foundational theories of intellectual property law and practical skills in patent agency.
