— Back in our youthful days, full of vigor and promise.

The Xiang River flows northward, and at the head of Orange Isle lies our first stop on the team-building excursion: Orange Isle, a landmark of profound symbolic significance in Changsha.

Standing before the artistic statue of young Mao Zedong, the colleagues from  JC Maste gazed into the distance, watching the mighty Xiang River flow northward, which inevitably brought to mind… “Qinyuanchun: Changsha” The stirring lines from the poem—“O vast and boundless land, who shall decide its fate?”—resonate deeply. As legal professionals, we bear the solemn responsibility of upholding social fairness and justice. Like the revolutionary pioneers of yore, we must summon the courage to brave the surging currents and possess the boldness to shoulder our duties with unwavering resolve.

The next day, the team arrived in Shaoshan—the birthplace of the Red Sun—with hearts full of reverence.

At Mao Zedong Square, Director Xu Guojin led all colleagues in laying a floral basket before the bronze statue of Chairman Mao and offering three profound bows. Through a visit to Comrade Mao Zedong’s former residence, everyone gained a deeper understanding of the great leader’s personal journey and his revolutionary path. This red‑spirit education has profoundly impressed upon every member of the  JC Maste community that practicing law is not merely a profession, but also a weighty social responsibility.

Leaving behind the red, fertile land, we entered the World Natural Heritage site—Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

It is renowned as a “miniature landscape that seems to expand, a fairyland that appears to shrink.” Visitors take the Bailong Sky Ladder, glide through Yuanjiajie, and explore the world depicted in “Avatar.” Hallelujah Mountain The prototype; strolling along the Jinbian Stream, one is greeted by the gentle murmur of the water and the sweet fragrance of flowers and birdsong. Facing the three thousand peculiar peaks, the colleagues from  JC Maste supported and encouraged one another as they climbed, demonstrating a remarkable spirit of teamwork.

Conquering Tianmen Mountain was a dual test of physical endurance and courage. Traveling by car along the winding mountain road known as the “Heavenly Avenue,” we then hiked across a glass walkway suspended high above sheer cliffs. Amid the swirling mist and clouds, it felt as though we had stepped into a fairyland. Overcoming our fear, we pressed forward hand in hand, savoring the exhilaration and awe of having “clouds beneath our feet and wind at our ears.”

At night, the Tai family and their guests enjoyed a grand folk song-and-dance extravaganza—“Charm of Western Hunan.” Directed by Feng Xiaogang, the performance not only showcased the wedding and courtship customs and daily labor scenes of the Miao and Tujia peoples of Western Hunan, but also featured breathtaking acts such as “climbing a ladder of knives” and “walking through a sea of fire,” along with other mysterious elements. At the final stop of our journey, we arrived at the ancient town of Fenghuang, brought to life by Shen Congwen’s pen.

This “most beautiful small town in China” offers visitors an utterly romantic experience. As night falls, the banks of the Tuojiang River shimmer with twinkling lights, and the stilt houses take on a unique charm against the glow; at dawn, a delicate mist veils the water, while occasional travelers hurry across the stepping stones, creating a scene straight out of a traditional ink painting. Strolling along the ancient town’s cobblestone streets, everyone leaves behind the tension of daily work, shares their dreams, and savors this rare, unhurried moment.

Unite as one and set out anew.

This trip to Hunan was both a rejuvenating retreat for body and mind and a profound spiritual strengthening. From the red heritage of the hometown of great historical figures, to the awe-inspiring natural wonders of Zhangjiajie, and on to the timeless tranquility of Fenghuang Ancient Town, the colleagues of  JC Maste Law Firm deepened their bonds and forged their resolve along the way.

In his concluding remarks, Director Xu Guo Jin emphasized that “reading ten thousand books is not as valuable as traveling ten thousand miles.” This team-building activity has demonstrated the strong cohesion and unity of the  JC Maste family. As we return to our work, he urged everyone to sustain this momentum, approaching our duties with renewed enthusiasm and a highly professional ethos to deliver exceptional legal services to our clients.
