Helping others helps oneself. As a lawyer, one can appropriately engage in public‑service activities to assist those in need, particularly vulnerable groups. Of course, diligently handling cases is itself a form of helping others; the outcome of a case may affect an individual’s or a family’s well‑being, or determine the success or failure of an enterprise. A favorable judgment can even turn around a company on the brink of collapse, safeguarding the jobs of dozens or even hundreds of employees. For lawyers, taking on such matters also builds a strong reputation.

Upon joining JC Master and becoming part of its community, I was deeply drawn to the office’s many distinctive qualities—above all, its commitment to public service. JC Master has consistently upheld the belief that lawyers should actively engage in pro bono work, and it has also established its own charitable foundation, which has long been dedicated to a wide range of public‑interest and philanthropic initiatives.
With the support of the JC Master Platform, I have actively engaged in community public‑service activities, participating on numerous occasions in community consultations, mediation, legal‑education lectures, and large‑scale outreach events. I have done my utmost to disseminate legal knowledge to ordinary residents and to provide them with legal assistance.

I believe that with passion, anything is possible. I love the feeling of being a lawyer—their appeal lies in the unknown: you never know what kind of client you’ll meet, what kind of judge will preside, what legal issues will arise, or what verdict you’ll ultimately secure. The profession’s allure also stems from its intellectual rigor: you grasp the logic underlying the law, anticipate your opponent’s moves, foresee the case’s likely trajectory, and know how to safeguard your clients’ interests. You may not control a case’s outcome, yet you can nonetheless shape it—whether by navigating it safely to the results you hoped for or by giving your all to leave no regrets. In either scenario, you learn to accept it with peace of mind, savoring both the journey and the final result.
