JC Master Updates | The School of Foreign Languages at Nanjing University and JC Master Law Office Successfully Held a Summer Internship成果 Presentation for the German‑Language Legal Studies Experimental Class.

On the afternoon of September 11, the School of Foreign Languages at Nanjing University and JC Master Law Office jointly hosted a summer internship report meeting for the Nanjing University German‑Law Experimental Class. The event was held successfully in the Fei Yimin Building on Nanjing University’s Gulou Campus. Attendees included Kong Jianfeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Foreign Languages; Professor Chen Min, Head of the Department of German; Teachers Chang Xuan and Li Bin; as well as JC Master Managing Partner Xu Guojin, Executive Committee Chair Zhu Li, Partner Wang Jian, and Xu Min, Dean of Cewen Academy. Student representatives from the German‑Law Experimental Class also actively participated in the symposium. Teacher Chang Xuan chaired the report session, warmly welcoming and introducing the guests present.
 

At the meeting, Deputy Secretary Kong Jianfeng delivered a speech. He expressed his gratitude to JC Master for providing internship opportunities to students in Nanjing University’s German‑Law Experimental Class. The internship base jointly established by the college and JC Master offers students a realistic legal practice environment, fostering deep integration among industry, academia, and research. He emphasized that this internship opportunity serves as a valuable platform for practical training, enabling students to apply their knowledge of German law to real‑world cases, gain experience, and enhance their professional capabilities.

Following this, Director Tai He and Director Xu Guo Jin delivered remarks. They expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the School of Foreign Languages at Nanjing University, noting that Tai He has enjoyed the university’s trust and support. Tai He has consistently regarded collaboration with universities as a top priority and hopes to pave the way for outstanding talent through internship programs. During their internships at Tai He, students from Nanjing University’s German‑Law Experimental Class impressed the office’s partners and attorneys with their solid professional foundation and proactive attitude toward learning.
 

Subsequently, the session moved on to student internship presentations. Student representatives from the German-language Law Experimental Class used PowerPoint to showcase their work during the summer internship at JC Master, highlighting their tasks, key takeaways, and personal reflections. They shared their experiences working with the JC Master legal team, which included participating in cross-border M&A legal due diligence, handling international intellectual property disputes, and engaging in court proceedings and mediation. Through collaborative teamwork, they honed their communication skills and strengthened their sense of camaraderie. This internship not only enhanced their expertise and technical proficiency but also helped them articulate a clear vision for their future career paths.

Following the students’ presentations, the faculty members and JC Master Partners offered high praise for their performance. They provided expert advice and guidance in response to the questions and concerns raised during the presentations. During the interactive Q&A session, JC Master Partners shared invaluable insights on future academic pursuits and career development, encouraging the students to continue their in-depth research in the field of German-language legal studies. They also urged the students to strive for excellence and to boldly challenge themselves in their future studies and professional endeavors.

In her address, Professor Chen Min congratulated the organizers on the successful holding of the internship report conference and expressed her gratitude for JC Master’s support and the professional guidance provided by its partners. She encouraged the students to transform what they have learned and experienced during their internships into motivation for their future studies, continuously enhancing their overall competencies. At the same time, she voiced her hope that Nanjing University’s School of Foreign Languages and JC Master will further deepen their cooperation in the years ahead, working together to cultivate more outstanding professionals in German-language legal studies.
