On April 15, the Inner Mongolia Listed Companies Association hosted a specialized training session on “Equity Investment by Listed Companies.” The event featured a keynote address by Attorney Shi Qiao, a partner at our office, who provided an in-depth analysis—within the dual framework of the new Company Law and state‑owned asset supervision—of equity investment control, practical approaches to earn‑out clauses, and risk‑management strategies for more than thirty listed companies and state‑controlled investment institutions in the region.

The legal validity of an electronic signature should be assessed comprehensively, taking into account the technology employed, the evidentiary weight of third-party certification reports, and the procedures governing the electronic signing process. Depending on whether digital signature technology is used, electronic signatures may be classified as either ordinary electronic signatures or qualified electronic signatures. With respect to digital signatures that meet the technical requirements for qualified electronic signatures, their reliability cannot be determined solely through handwriting analysis based on comparisons with sample writings; instead, a holistic evaluation must consider third-party certification reports, the electronic signing workflow, and other relevant factors to ascertain whether the signature satisfies the characteristics of exclusivity, control, and tamper‑proofness required by the Electronic Signature Law for qualified electronic signatures.
