JC Master Public Welfare | The Power of Youth, Law for the People’s Well-being — Attorney Zhu Xinya of JC Master (Nantong) Participates in a Public Legal Consultation Event

Recently, in order to further promote the spirit of the rule of law and put into practice the service philosophy of “lawyers for the people,” Zhu Xinya, an intern at JC Master (Nantong) Law Office, participated in pro bono legal consultation services, providing nearby residents with a “zero‑distance” public‑interest legal advisory session. Through this concrete action, she demonstrated the sense of responsibility and commitment expected of legal professionals in the new era.

At the event site, Zhu Xinya patiently attended to every member of the public who came for consultation. In response to residents’ questions on issues closely tied to daily life—such as marriage and family matters, private lending, neighborhood disputes, labor rights protection, and the support of elderly relatives—she drew on her professional expertise and the practical experience she had gained during her internship to provide thorough, patient answers. She not only clarified the rights and obligations of those seeking advice from a legal‑text perspective but also emphasized guiding the public to articulate their concerns in a lawful and rational manner, helping them safeguard their interests through proper legal channels. Zhu Xinya’s patient, approachable demeanor and her clear, accessible explanations earned her unanimous praise from the attendees.

Zhu Xinya stated that being able to leverage her professional expertise to address the concerns and solve the problems of the public is a valuable opportunity to translate theoretical knowledge into practical skills and to gain a deeper understanding of the social value of the legal profession. “Each consultation is both a learning experience and a chance to pass on a sense of responsibility. Being able to offer even a small measure of assistance fills me with a profound sense of fulfillment and purpose.”

JC Master (Nantong) Law Office has consistently placed great emphasis on pro bono legal services, actively encouraging and supporting young lawyers and trainee lawyers to engage with the grassroots and serve the public. The recent pro bono legal consultation event held at Sanhe Liuan Square not only effectively enhanced community residents’ legal awareness and helped foster a mindset of “acting in accordance with the law and seeking legal solutions when encountering issues,” but also vividly demonstrated the positive, forward‑looking spirit of the office’s young legal professionals as they dedicate themselves to serving society. Moving forward, the office will continue to organize a diverse array of pro bono legal service initiatives, ensuring that the warmth of the rule of law reaches an ever wider audience.
