Taihe Public Welfare | “Books and Culture in the CPPCC, Green Governance in Academia”: Legal Education Enters the Community

To fulfill the social responsibility of the legal profession, deepen engagement in pro bono legal services, and help community residents resolve legal challenges related to family matters, elderly care, and estate planning, on the afternoon of August 13, Attorney Wang Qian, Deputy Director of the Taihe Family Law and Wealth Succession Practice Committee, was invited to participate in the Jianye District’s “Books and Culture in the CPPCC: Green Learning—Legal Knowledge Enters the Community” public‑interest legal education lecture. She visited the Zhoudao Heyuan Community in Jiangxinzhou Subdistrict to deliver a thoughtful legal‑education session for local residents.

Attorney Wang Qian has devoted more than a decade to the fields of family law and wealth succession. At the lecture, she eschewed complex legal jargon, opting instead for clear, accessible explanations that broke down intricate concepts into digestible insights. Her talk addressed the most pressing concerns of senior residents—ensuring secure support in old age, adequate care, suitable housing, peace of mind, and thoughtful estate planning—while demystifying relevant legal issues. Drawing on numerous real‑world cases, Attorney Wang provided detailed guidance on key legal matters such as elder‑care obligations, housing rights in retirement, safeguarding assets in later years, and drafting wills. Attendees listened attentively, with many seniors taking notes on the crucial legal points discussed.

Attorney Wang Qian

Attorney Wang Qian is a member of the Marriage and Family Law Committee and the Maritime and Commercial Law Committee of the Ninth Council of the Nanjing Lawyers Association. Deputy Director of the Taihe Committee on Marriage, Family Matters, and Wealth Succession 。

Attorney Wang is a member of the Communist Party of China, holds a Master’s degree in Law from Nanjing Normal University, and is a Senior Corporate Compliance Officer and a Marriage and Family Counselor. He is licensed to practice in the fields of funds and securities and has extensive experience in both non-litigation and litigation matters.

Attorney Wang primarily provides legal services in the areas of civil and commercial dispute resolution, criminal defense involving both criminal and civil matters, compliance management, and ongoing corporate legal advisory, with extensive theoretical and practical experience.
